For the first half of 2014, Greece will hold the presidency of the European Union.
Vassilios Costis, the ambassador of Greece in China, talked to China Daily in Beijing on the country’s new role in the EU.
Costis said his government’s mission will focus on four main priorities over the next six months: promoting growth within the EU, tackling migration problems within the organization, deepening the use of the euro currency, and coming up with new ideas on maritime policy.
