Libor Secka, the former ambassador of the Czech Republic to China, talked to a China Daily reporter before his term came to an end in early December.

"Friends" is the first word came to his mind when asked what he would miss after leaving China. During his six-year stay, he marked many achievements, among them the launch of a new direct flight between the capitals of the two countries.

The ambassador said over 300,000 Chinese tourists visited the Czech Republic during 2015, surpassing Japan and Korea and ranking first among Asian countries.

He also said both countries could cooperate more on education, finance and nuclear energy.
