Germany's Bayer Group will continue to invest in China market and develop sustainable solutions for China’s needs, said Celina Chew, the newly onboard President of Bayer Greater China Group.

Bayer set roots in China 132 years ago by providing textile dyes. Today, Bayer does business in China with its Bayer HealthCare, Bayer CropScience and Bayer MaterialScience subgroups with more than 13,000 employees. China is now Bayer's third largest single market globally and the first in Asia-Pacific. Sales of the Bayer Greater China market were worth EUR 3.7 billion in 2013, accounting for more than 9 percent of Bayer’s global sales.

Celina Chew, president of Bayer Greater China Group, told China Daily that she is confident about the group's 2014 performance in China.

With many years previous experience in China market, the new president, Celina Chew remarked positively about Bayer’s future in the country, “In addition to celebrating Bayer’s great track record in China, we have also successfully positioned our businesses to be well prepared for the future. Being back in China, I’m really looking forward to the fascinating experiences awaiting me and Bayer’s promising future performance in the Chinese market.”

Celina also introduced Bayer’s new employer brand: “Passion to innovate - Power to change”, which indicates what it means to work for Bayer——“If you have the passion to innovate, we give you the power to change.”
