Eager cleaver
A man attempted to rob a Postal Savings Bank of China in Hezhou Guanxi Zhuang autonomous region earlier this week. Instead of showing up with a gun or a bomb, or whatever you see in movies, the man was carrying a meat cleaver. Unfortunately for the man, his meat cleaver couldn't bust through the bank's bullet proof teller windows. He was arrested by police. This marks probably the fifth time this year that someone has had the bad idea of robbing a bank in China.

Dog days for mayor
Dogs are man's best friend. Does that mean they can govern man? Well, we'll find out soon after a small town in Minnesota, US, elected a dog as honorary mayor. The dog, Duke was elected by the 12 folks who live in the town of Cormorant. He'll serve a five week term. No clue yet if he'll subjugate all humans.

Make love not WarCraft
After finding out that his kids love violent war-themed video games, a father decided to take his kids to the Gaza strip. Sounds like a bad father son bonding movie right? Well it happened. Swedish journalist and teacher Carl-Magnus Helgegren decided to fly his kids out to the Gaza strip to learn what war was really like. Don't worry, Helgegren and his children were in Gaza this April, before the current escalation. Helgegren says he's faced some criticism for his stunt but clarified his stance. He doesn’t think that video games are bad he just wanted his kids to know that war isn't all fun and games. As to his kids, they're not so interested in Call of Duty anymore.
