The Cold Foot!
After the home team Brazil lost to Germany in the semifinals 7 to 1, many have cast the blame onto legendary rocker Mick Jagger. Jagger, the front man of the Rolling Stone’s has been dubbed the Angel of Doom and “pe frio”, or cold foot in Spanish. Jagger has been known as a soccer curse since the last cup in South Africa. Every team that Jagger supported or voiced support for in South Africa was knocked out. This time around, the same thing happened.

The bite of Suarez
It’s good thing Uruguay footballer Louis Suarez isn’t a vampire or there would be many in the world now. During the Italy and Uruguay match in the group stage, Suarez was seen in an altercation with Italian player Giorgio Chiellini that resulted with both players on the ground. Turns out, Suarez had taken a bite out of Chiellini’s shoulder. The bite would result in a four month football ban for Suarez but it also came with internet fame. Suarez’s famous bite has now been made into novelty gifts.

The money shot
One of the best things about this year’s cup is the amount of cameras in the stadiums capturing the havoc in crystal clear high definition. These cameras have caught everything, from pretty people to coaches picking their noses. If this world cup isn’t remembered for Brazil’s loss to Germany or Suarez’s biting incident, it will surely be known for the amount of crazy antics caught on film.
