China-Switzerland FTA beneficial for both

The free Trade agreement between China and Switzerland that was signed on 6 July 2013 by the Chinese Minister of Commerce, Gao Hucheng, and the Swiss Federal Councilor, Johann Schneider-Ammann, will enter into force on 1 July 2014.
With this, Switzerland will become the first continental European country with a free trade agreement with the soon largest economy of the world’s second largest economy.
Jean-Jacques de Dardel, Switzerland Ambassador to China, described its free-trade agreement with Switzerland as a comprehensive and mutually beneficial pact that should contribute to increased trade between the two economies, during an exclusive interview with China Daily before 1 July.
