Ping-pong playa

German robotics company Kuka recently released a commercial to show off versatility of their latest Agilus robotic manufacturing arm. In the commercial, Kuka’s robot squares off in a table tennis match against former world champion Timo Boll. Due to the nature it being a commercial, the video was heavily edited and filled with dramatic effects. Boll ended up beating the robot. It might be some time before we actually build a robot that may beat a human in Ping-Pong.

This cat’s got to go

In Oregon, US, a family was trapped inside a bedroom because their 22-pound Himalayan cat went into a frenzy. The kitty, named Lux, had it’s tail pulled on by the family’s infant child. Reacting to its tail being pulled, Lux scratched in the infant resulting in him getting kicked by the owner. The kick set Lux off. The cat was in such a fury that the family had to call the police to help. Lux was eventually captured and the family is now in the process of getting the cat therapy.
