Ain’t no sunshine
The DailyMail in the UK found an image of a sunset being played on the giant LED screen at Tian’anmen Square, Beijing. On the date of the picture, it turns out the air pollution was terrible. Seeing how the Western media tends to only ever report on the bad air quality days in China, the DailyMail jumped at the image and wrote that the smog in Beijing is so bad that the people have resorted to watching images of the sun. Tech in Asia points out, that the video is an advertisement for Shandong province.
Chinese Hero Rising
Hollywood legend and the genius producer behind the Spiderman and X-Men movies is looking to make a Chinese super hero movie. China Daily interviewed producer Avi Arad in 2013 where he announced that his company was working on creating a Chinese super hero movie based on the Terracotta Warriors, the same clay earthen soldiers buried with the first emperor of China Qin Shi Huang (260-210 BC). Now it seems the project is now on it’s final stages as new reports show that studios are attached, studios such as Paramount and the Shanghai Film Group. Maybe in the near future we’ll see the heroes of China duke it out on the big screen across the world, a la Batman versus Superman...Let’s just hope they don’t cast Afleck.
